Srilanka, March 5 -- Rural Development, Social Security and Community Empowerment Minister Dr. Upali Pannilage said recently that Kuwait has helped Sri Lanka in a number of ways since the establishment of diplomatic ties between the two nations.
Minister Pannilage said that Kuwait has become one of the main destinations for Sri Lankan expatriate workers.
Speaking at a ceremony to mark the 64th National Day and the 34th anniversary of the liberation of the State of Kuwait, organised by the Embassy of Kuwait in Colombo, Dr. Pannilage said that Kuwait has provided assistance for the development of infrastructure facilities in Sri Lanka which included Hospital and school buildings and bridges etc.
