Sri Lanka, July 19 -- Airports and Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) Private Limited has issued a public notice urging citizens to avoid flying kites in and around airport premises, citing serious risks to aircraft operations and passenger safety.

The company emphasized that flying kites, particularly within a 5-kilometer radius of airports and at altitudes exceeding 300 feet, can endanger aircraft during takeoff and landing. It further warned that legal action will be taken against individuals who violate these regulations.

The notice is part of a broader effort to ensure aviation safety and protect both passengers and flight crews.
