Sri Lanka, Feb. 5 -- The newly constructed computer laboratory of the Kiribathawila Junior School was inaugurated on January 22, 2025, with the cooperation of the Principal, the school's staff, alumni, parents, and students.

This significant project received complete financial support from Werner, Birgit Falkenstern and Kurt Merkle three German Nationals along with and several of their friends.

Originally started in 1912 as Halpathota C.C. School, the Kiribathawila Junior School is located in the Baddegama Education Division of the Galle District. The school currently educates approximately 120 students from low-income families in the plantation sector. Until 2019, it had only two buildings constructed around 1919.
