The Chief Incumbent of the Kataragama Kirivehera Temple, Venerable Kobawaka Dhamminda Thero, arrived at the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) this morning (11) to give a statement. After approximately seven hours, the Thero departed, having provided the requested information.

The inquiry was related to a house built during the presidency of Mahinda Rajapaksa. The CID had summoned the Thero as part of their investigation into the matter.
