Srilanka, Nov. 5 -- The Kelaniya University Medical Faculty's Clinical Research Unit has succeeded in producing a single tablet which is a combination of three High Blood Pressure (HBP) lowering tablets prescribed for the treatment of high blood pressure among the people. This pill has been proved effective in preventing 60 percent of strokes that can occur due to burst or blockage of blood vessels due to high blood pressure. The medicine has been produced following a comprehensive research conducted in a number of hospitals in the country in association with foreign universities and research institutes since 2016.
