Sri Lanka, Jan. 13 -- Former Minister Keheliya Rambukwella's legal counsel informed the Colombo High Court yesterday (12) that he is currently unfit to stand trial due to health complications following recent back surgery.

After considering the medical reports submitted by the defence, Colombo High Court Judge Mohamed Mihal ordered the case to be taken up again on February 13.

The case has been filed against Rambukwella and several members of his family over allegations that salaries and allowances were unlawfully paid to individuals claimed to have been employed as his personal staff during his tenure as Minister of Environment, with the funds credited to their personal bank accounts.
