Srilanka, June 18 -- Former Minister Keheliya Rambukwella, along with his wife and daughter, was arrested this morning (18) by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC). The trio was taken into custody when they arrived at the Commission's premises to provide a statement.

Their arrests are linked to a probe into the alleged acquisition of undeclared assets, following a formal complaint filed on March 14, 2024, by the organization Citizens' Power Against Bribery, Corruption and Waste. The complaint urged the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) to audit and publicly disclose the assets and liabilities of several high-profile former ministers.
