Sri Lanka, Oct. 1 -- Indian lasses made a fighting innings to score 269 for 8 wickets in 47 overs in their opening ICC Women's World Cup game against Sri Lanka played at Guwahati yesterday. Rain interrupted the game twice to reduce innings for 47 overs per side.
India invited to bat first were struggling 124 for 6 after 27 overs, but seventh wicket pair Deepthi Sharma and Amanjot Kaur build up their innings to add superb 103 runs partnership to come back strongly to the game.
