Srilanka, April 21 -- Kandy Municipal Health Officer Pasan Parakum Jayasinghe said yesterday (20) afternoon, the third day of the 'Siri Dalada Vandanawa', a special veneration of the Sacred Tooth Relic, registrations had been granted for 820 dansals which have come forward to offer food and beverages to devotees.

He said that with the increase in the number of devotees, registrations for dansals are also increasing rapidly and the registration can be done easily by visiting the official website of the Kandy Municipal Council.

He also emphasized that a special programme has been implemented to ensure the purity of the drinking water distributed in Kandy city by subjecting it to laboratory testing every 40 minutes.
