Sri Lanka, Aug. 28 -- Sri Lanka's 12-member Junior Netball squad has been named for the upcoming Netball World Youth Cup (NWYC) to be held in Gibraltar from September 19 to 28. However, the team's preparations have been hampered as no head coach or assistant coach has yet been appointed.
The squad was selected at trials conducted last week at the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium, but only two members of the five-member selection panel were present. The list of players has also not yet been approved by the National Selection Committee.
Most of the players in the current squad were also in action at last July's Asian Youth Netball Championship in Jeonju, South Korea last July, where Sri Lanka placed third place behind Singapore and Malaysia to ...
