Sri Lanka, Nov. 13 -- Sri Lanka's Bovindi Jithsara advanced to the finals of the Girls' Singles at the ATF Under-16 Tennis Tournament, held at the Sri Lanka Tennis Association courts in Colombo yesterday.
Jithsara, a student from Bishop's College, delivered an impressive performance, defeating Tejasvi Kotti of India with a dominant 6-0, 6-2 scoreline. With this win, she secured her place in the finals, where she will face Divya Ungrish of India.
In the other semi-final, Ungrish edged past Sri Lanka's Yuhansa Peiris in a tightly contested match. Ungrish won 7-6, 7-5, setting up an all-India vs Sri Lanka final in the Girls' Singles category.
