Sri Lanka, Oct. 30 -- Sri Lanka's Jayden De Silva continued his impressive form by winning Heat 1 of the boys' 100m backstroke with a new personal best on the third day of the swimming at the 3rd Asian Youth Games in Manama, Bahrain yesterday.
The 15-year-old from Stafford International School, who trains with Killer Whale Aquatics, clocked 1 minute 05.82 seconds, improving his previous best of 1:07.06 by nearly two seconds.
This marked De Silva's second consecutive heat victory at the Games, after he also won his 50m butterfly heat the previous day with another personal best performance.
