Sri Lanka, Jan. 29 -- Gehansa Methnadi and Venuli Jayasinghe stole the spotlight in the girls' Under-18 quarterfinals of the C L Synergy SSC Open 2025 Tennis Championship played at the SSC courts in Colombo.

Methnadi fought through a tough three-set match to defeat Vinethya Dharmarathne 6/2, 6/7, 10/7, while Jayasinghe dominated her opponent, Sanuthi Wong, with a commanding 6/0, 6/0 win.

Methnadi's battle against Dharmarathne as she quickly took the first set before a fierce comeback from Dharmarathne leveled the match.
