Sri Lanka, Feb. 6 -- Sri Lanka will sign exchange papers with the Japan Government and an amended agreement with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) to finalise its debt restructuring commitments.
Mass Media Minister Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa said that the Cabinet of Ministers has approved this and the Attorney General has reviewed and granted consent for the necessary documents, ensuring legal approval for the signing process.
These agreements will come into effect after the conclusion of discussions with the official creditor committee.
President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, in his capacity as Finance, Planning, and Economic Development Minister presented the proposal, which received Cabinet endorsement.
