Sri Lanka, Dec. 17 -- The Government of Japan has extended an Emergency Grant of 2.5 million USD to Sri Lanka to support communities affected by the recent cyclone.Sri Lanka travel

The grant will be channeled through the International Organization for Migration (IOM), World Food Programme (WFP), and UNICEF to provide humanitarian assistance including food, shelters, water, sanitation, and child protection.

Through the IOM, 1 million USD will supply 615 shelter kits, including kitchen, wash, and bedding sets, to households in Kandy, Badulla, and Kegalle.

Another 1 million USD via the WFP will provide emergency food assistance for families in Kandy, Badulla, Nuwara Eliya, and Kegalle, while 500,000 USD through UNICEF will support water, ...
