Sri Lanka, Jan. 19 -- The faculty complex in Kottawa is a major academic and infrastructure milestone, designed to accommodate up to 1,600 Engineering students and equipped with modern facilities including modular laboratories, an 800-seat auditorium, advanced learning spaces, a food court and recreational areas.
The project funded by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and was implemented in two phases, with investments of Rs.7.9 billion.
In addition Rs.1 billion was allocated through the 2019 National Budget for the acquisition of land in Kottawa, bringing the total project value to Rs. 8.9 billion.
