Sri Lanka, Sept. 22 -- 'Dickie' Dunuwille jnr a former well known cricket umpire makes his last journey today, Tuesday. His cremation will take place at 10.00 am at the Mahiyawa General Cemetery. He passed away on Monday.
He promoted cricket umpiring in the Central Province and was one time the General Secretary of the Association of Cricket Umpires of Sri Lanka (ACUSL). He made an official tour of England in June 1999 where he had discussions with the Umpires Association of England on various aspects of umpiring and to further improve the standards.
He had his early education at St. Anthony's College and later at Dharmaraja College. He is the younger brother of late Dickie Dunuwille Snr the fampus cricketer and Sunny Dunuwille.
