Sri Lanka, Oct. 7 -- The International Tourism Leaders' Summit 2025 took place at the BMICH in Colombo, bringing together key industry leaders, policymakers, academics, and global partners to mark World Tourism Day under the United Nations World Tourism Organisation's (UNWTO) theme of "Tourism and Sustainable Transformation."

President and Finance Minister Anura Kumara Dissanayake also attended the summit, which was seen as a strong endorsement of the tourism sector's role in shaping the country's economy and future.
