Sri Lanka, June 23 -- The Department of Meteorology forecasts scattered showers across multiple regions of Sri Lanka today.

Frequent showers are expected in the Sabaragamuwa Province, as well as in the Kandy and Nuwara-Eliya districts.

Intermittent rain spells are likely in the Western and North-Western provinces, and in Galle and Matara districts.

Isolated showers or thundershowers may occur during the afternoon or night in parts of the Uva Province, and in Ampara and Batticaloa districts.

In addition, fairly strong winds ranging from 30 to 40 kmph are expected at times over the western slopes of the central hills, as well as in the Northern, North-Central, Southern, North-Western, and Trincomalee districts.
