Srilanka, April 8 -- The leader of Sri Lanka's indigenous Vedda community, Uru Warige Wannila Aththo recently joined on a visit to Dubai and returned aboard Sri Lankan Airlines.

In a post on its official Facebook page, Sri Lankan Airlines shared that the Wannila Aththo were aboard flight UL 226 from Dubai to Colombo, and expressed their honor in hosting him.

"As the leader of Sri Lanka's indigenous community, his presence with us is a reminder of the island's deep-rooted heritage and cultural richness" the airline said in its statement.
