Indian Consul General in Hambantota calls on SP Governor

Sri Lanka, Oct. 14 -- Consul General of India, Hambantota P.R. Dipin called on Southern Province Governor Dr.Willie Gamage at the Governor's Secretariat in the Southrn Province and held discussions on strengthening bilaterial relationship.
Consul General thanked the Governor for the support given to the Consulate in organising various activities in the Southern Province. They focused on the development in the Southern Province including its cultural issues, tourism and enhancing connectivity between the two countries. The Consul General briefed the Governor about the USD 15 million grant announced by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to enhance Buddhist ties between India and Sri Lanka.
