Sri Lanka, Jan. 5 -- The Indian Army Chief, General Upendra Dwivedi, is set to visit Sri Lanka on January 7 for a two-day official trip, the Indian Ministry of Defence announced.
During his visit, General Dwivedi will hold meetings with senior Sri Lankan military and civilian leaders, including the Army Commander, Deputy Minister of Defence, and the Defence Secretary.
Key discussions will focus on training cooperation, regional security, and other matters of mutual interest.
The Indian Army Chief will also engage with officers and trainees at the Defence Services Command and Staff College (DSCSC) and the Buttala Military College.
Additionally, he is scheduled to pay homage at the Indian Peace Keeping Force Memorial in Colombo.
