Sri Lanka, Feb. 1 -- India has dispatched an additional consignment of 10 Bailey bridges to Sri Lanka to support ongoing reconstruction efforts following damage caused by Cyclone Ditwah, the Ministry of External Affairs of India announced.

The bridges were shipped yesterday (31) from Visakhapatnam to Colombo aboard the Indian naval vessel INS Gharial to help restore critical transport connectivity in areas affected by the cyclone.

Indian authorities noted that this shipment follows earlier consignments of Bailey bridges already provided to Sri Lanka as part of emergency assistance efforts to restore damaged infrastructure.
