SRILANKA, Dec. 4 -- The Sri Lanka women's cricket team will tour India to play a five-match T20 International (T20I) series from December 21 to 30, across Visakhapatnam and Thiruvananthapuram, according to Sri Lanka Cricket.

This series will mark the first competitive engagement for the Indian women's team following their victorious campaign in the 2025 Women's ODI World Cup held earlier in November.

For Sri Lanka, the tour is particularly significant as it is the first time since 2016 that the team will play a T20I series in India. The previous series in 2016 saw India win 3-0.

The series will also serve as a crucial stepping stone for both teams in preparation for the 2026 Women's T20 World Cup in England and Wales.
