Following the destruction caused by Cyclone "Ditwah," the Sri Lankan government has requested $200 million in urgent funding from the IMF to help the country tackle the ongoing challenges.

The Executive Board meeting will review the government's request alongside the broader financial support already provided to Sri Lanka by the IMF.

Reports indicate that a decision on the emergency assistance is expected during today's session.
