Sri Lanka, Jan. 30 -- International Monetary Fund (IMF) Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva is expected to visit Sri Lanka in February as part of her Asia tour, an IMF spokesperson said.

In a statement, the spokesperson noted that the exact dates of the visit will be announced later.

The planned visit comes at a time when Sri Lanka's fifth review under the IMF's Extended Fund Facility (EFF) has been delayed due to extensive infrastructure damage caused by a recent cyclone.

An IMF team visited Sri Lanka earlier this week to evaluate the impact of the disaster on the country.
