Sri Lanka, Dec. 30 -- A delegation from the International Monetary Fund is scheduled to visit Sri Lanka early next year.

The purpose of the visit is to discuss the fifth review of the Extended Fund Facility (EFF) provided by the International Monetary Fund.

The fifth review of the EFF has already been completed, and the IMF Executive Board was originally scheduled to meet on December 15 to approve it.

However, the IMF decided to postpone the meeting following Sri Lanka's request for expedited financing.
