Sri Lanka, Dec. 19 -- Police Media Division stated yesterday (18) that IGP Priyantha Weerasooriya has directed the Police Special Investigation Division to initiate a preliminary investigation against the senior police officers who have allegedly neglected their duties in their investigation into the accident involving the collision of NPP Parliamentarian Ashoka Ranwala's jeep with a car and a motorcycle, in Sapugaskanda on December 11.

According to the Police Media Division, negligence of duties has been observed in carrying out the investigation into the collision of former Speaker and NPP MP Ashoka Ranwala's jeep with a car and a motorcycle, by senior police officers of the Sapugaskanda Police Station including the OIC and the Traffic...
