Sri Lanka, Nov. 16 -- The Human Rights Commission of Sri Lanka (HRCSL), which has commenced an investigation into the incident of a senior male police officer manhandling two junior female police officers during a protest march on Saturday (12), has summoned the police officer in question and his superior officer tomorrow (17). The Commission's Media Spokesman told the Daily News yesterday that the HRCSL has begun a probe on the incident on its own initiative. The HRCSL has also sought a report on the matter from the Inspector General of Police (IGP).
