Srilanka, June 3 -- Parliament will debate on the Second Reading of the Personal Data Protection (Amendment) Bill today (3), aiming to enhance the legal framework surrounding data privacy in the country.

The Oversight Committee on Science, Technology, and Digital Transformation which met recently granted approval for the Bill to proceed to its Second Reading.

The debate will be held from 11.00 am to 5.00 pm today (3). Parliament is scheduled to convene from today (3) to June 6 according to Secretary General of Parliament Kushani Rohanadeera.

Meanwhile, the House will debate on regulations imposed under the Anti-Corruption Act tomorrow (4), while the National Transport Commission (Amendment) Bill will be debated on June 5.
