Sri Lanka, Dec. 16 -- The Badulla Spring Valley Regional Hospital has been temporarily closed due to a potential landslide risk, the Uva Provincial Health Ministry announced.

An investigation conducted by geologists from the National Building Research Organization revealed that the slope of Namunukula Mountain, located in front of the hospital, could pose a threat to the facility. To minimize inconvenience to patients, Badulla District Secretary Prabath Abeywardena confirmed that outpatient treatments have been temporarily shifted to the Abhayapura Community Hall in the area.
