Sri Lanka, Jan. 6 -- Thusitha Dilum Kumara, who recently surrendered himself before the Colombo Chief Magistrate's Court as the driver of former Minister Patali Champika Ranawaka, was granted bail yesterday by Colombo Additional Magistrate Kanchana Neranjana de Silva.

The suspect was released on two sureties of Rs.250,000 each. The magistrate also ordered the suspect to report to the Colombo Crimes Division on the last Tuesday of each month, between 9.00 a.m. and 12.00 p.m.

On December 24, the suspect surrendered before the Colombo Chief Magistrate's Court connection with a motor accident in which a youth was critically injured four years ago.
