Sri lanka, Oct. 2 -- Minister of Transport Bimal Ratnayake says that false claims are being spread by the opposition regarding changes to the school curriculum, particularly the removal of historical and aesthetic content.

Speaking to the media, the Minister said, "The future generations of the country should know that there were rulers who even built ice factories. We should have a history chapter to study and understand that corrupt ruling class-not just about Kings Dutugemunu and Vijayabahu. The propaganda that history and aesthetics are being removed from the school curriculum is a lie. The opposition is making these false allegations because they have nothing else to say."
