Sri Lanka, Jan. 6 -- Former Defence Secretary Hemasiri Fernando and Inspector General of Police Pujith Jayasundara who were arrested on charges of criminal negligence and failure to prevent or minimize the damage caused due to the Easter Sunday terrorist attacks, were yesterday further remanded till January 20 by the Colombo Additional Magistrate Priyantha Liyanage. Deputy Solicitor General Dileepa Peiris appearing on behalf of the Attorney General informed court that the Criminal Investigation Department recorded statements from former Minister Rishad Bathiudeen and Minister Ruwan Wijewardene pertaining to the Easter Sunday bomb attacks.
