Srilanka, May 26 -- Showers or thundershowers are expected at times in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, and North-Western provinces, as well as in the districts of Nuwara-Eliya, Kandy, Galle, and Matara. Some areas may experience fairly heavy rainfall exceeding 75 mm.

Isolated showers may also occur in other parts of the country.

Strong winds, ranging from 40 to 50 kmph, are likely at times over the western slopes of the central hills, and in the Northern, North-Central, Southern, and North-Western provinces, including the Trincomalee and Monaragala districts.
