Sri Lanka, May 19 -- With South-West monsoon conditions gradually getting established over the country, heavy falls above 100 mm are likely at some places in Western, Sabaragamuwa and North-western provinces and in Galle, Matara, Nuwara-Eliya and Kandy districts, the Meteorology Department predicted. Cloudy skies can be expected over most parts of the country.
Showers or thundershowers will occur at times in Western, Sabaragamuwa, North-western, Central and Northern provinces and in Galle and Matara districts.
Several spells of showers will occur in North-central province. Showers or thundershowers may occur at several places elsewhere of the island during the evening or night.
