Sri Lanka, Oct. 9 -- Heather Knight's unbeaten 79 guided England Women to a hard-fought four-wicket win over Bangladesh, maintaining their unbeaten run at the ICC Women's World Cup in Guwahati on Tuesday.
Despite the defeat, Bangladesh showed great fight throughout the game, but England's experience prevailed as Knight's calm and composed innings paved the way for victory with 23 balls to spare.
Chasing 179 on a tricky Guwahati surface, England's top order stumbled to 78 for 5 after 22 overs and later to 103 for 6 in the 30th over. Bangladesh leg-spinner Fahima Khatun led the charge with an impressive spell, claiming three wickets in her first seven overs to keep England under pressure.
