Srilanka, March 12 -- The family of actress Malini Fonseka, widely regarded as the Queen of Sri Lanka Cinema, has refuted rumors that she has fallen seriously ill and is in the intensive care unit.

While it is true that Fonseka is currently undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Colombo, her family clarified that she is not in critical condition.

The actress has been battling cancer for some time, and is receiving treatment for other health issues.

The family further assured the public that she is in recovery.
