Srilanka, Feb. 20 -- The Ministry of Health has introduced new guidelines for the treatment of infertility through IVF and other medically assisted methods. Presented by Dr. Chandima Siritunga, Director of Maternal and Child Health, to Minister of Health and Mass Media Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa, these guidelines aim to improve the quality of care provided by hospitals and health institutions offering infertility treatments.
The guidelines mandate that institutions treating infertility must provide accurate information to patients, adhere to medical ethics, use safe treatment practices, report side effects, and take necessary corrective actions when needed.
