Srilanka, June 4 -- The Health Promotion Bureau has observed a potential uptick in influenza and COVID-19 variants across the island. In response, a letter dated June 2, 2025, signed by the Deputy Chief Secretary (Administration) of the Western Province, was issued to all heads of institutions under the Western Provincial Council. The letter requested staff to wear face masks in office environments and other public spaces with high foot traffic.
