Srilanka, Feb. 25 -- Health and Media Minister Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa yesterday rebuffed the false opinions and statements that have been spread by certain Opposition groups that the public sector salaries will not be increased.

He told Parliament that in order to increase the overall public sector salaries, the Government plans to utilise Rs. 325 billion; and in 2025, Rs. 110 billion will be allocated to increase the salaries of only the public sector employees and no one can say that State sector employees' basic salaries have not been increased.
