Sri Lanka, March 22 -- More than 30 people have been injured after two Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) buses collided head-on in the Dummaladeniya area of Warakapola on the Colombo-Kandy road.

The accident occurred a short while ago, and police report that efforts are underway to hospitalize the injured.

The collision involved two SLTB buses operating on the Kandy-Dehiwala and Kalmunai-Colombo routes. Additionally, several other vehicles were involved in subsequent accidents on the same road, leading to severe traffic congestion in the area.
