Sri Lanka, Nov. 3 -- This year's Sri Lanka Rugby (SLR) A Division Club Rugby League season will kick off in style on November 14, when last year's runners-up Havelocks Sports Club take on Navy Sports Club in the curtain-raiser, while reigning champions Kandy Sports Club will skip the opening weekend under tournament rules that give the top-ranked side a first-week bye.
The 2025/26 season will feature nine top clubs, with action spread across three days in the opening week. Following the opener, Air Force SC will battle Army SC at Ratmalana, and Sri Lions will meet CR&FC on November 15, while CH&FC host Police SC at the Racecourse Ground on November 16.
