Srilanka, Feb. 27 -- The Colombo High Court has directed the defense to inform the court of its position regarding a request to hear the case against Nadun Chinthaka Wickramaratne (alias Harak Kata) and two other defendants, via Skype, due to security concerns.

The case was heard today (27) before Colombo High Court Judge Sujeewa Nissanka. Harak Kata, who is currently in prison custody, was not produced in court.

The State Counsel informed the court that the defendant would not be present due to security reasons. The prosecution also requested that the hearing proceed through Skype technology.

The judge has ordered the defense to submit its position on this request by March 17.
