Sri Lanka, Sept. 1 -- Sixteen-year-old Kemitha Hapuarachchi of Royal College has already become one of the brightest young hopes in Sri Lankan squash. A Year 11 student of Royal College, Colombo, Hapuarachchi has dedicated himself to the sport since the age of nine and is now reaping the rewards of years of discipline and training.
From the start, his journey has been guided by a single coach - Mahesh Chandana, Royal College's veteran squash mentor. Under Chandana's careful eye, Hapuarachchi has grown into a polished competitor who has carried Sri Lanka's colours at four Asian Junior Squash Championships between 2022 and 2025.
