Srilanka, Feb. 25 -- The government is planning to distribute essential food packs to low-income families in preparation for the upcoming Sinhala and Tamil New Year.
To address food security and policy decisions, Minister of Agriculture, Livestock, Land, and Irrigation K.D. Lalkantha and Minister of Trade, Commerce, Food Security, and Cooperative Development Wasantha Samarasinghe convened the third meeting of the Food Policy and Security Committee yesterday (24) at the Parliament premises.
