Sri Lanka, Dec. 26 -- Health and Mass Media Minister Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa stated that a programme is needed to further formalise and expand drug quality testing into a comprehensive initiative.

Speaking at a discussion held at the Health and Mass Media Ministry on Wednesday (24), the Minister noted that the National Medicines Regulatory Authority's testing laboratory faces certain limitations in its capacity to conduct these tests.

The discussion, chaired by the Minister, focused on expanding and maintaining the standards of the drug quality testing process. The primary focus was on establishing a systematic and formalised programme for these activities.
