Srilanka, Feb. 25 -- Industry and Entrepreneurship Development Minister Sunil Handunnett told Parliament yesterday that the Government has planned to start several industrial zones in the country.

In response to the oral question raised by MP Oshani Umanga, the Minister said that work on developing new industrial zones has already begun under the Industry Ministry in Aluthapola, Dambulla, Sandamalgama, Suriyawewa and Raigama and the development work on these five industrial zones is due to be completed by the end of 2025.
