Srilanka, April 8 -- Steps will be taken to promptly issue the circular to implement public security committees in villages across the country.

Public Security Deputy Minister Sunil Watagala expressed these views while participating in a public meeting held in Colombo yesterday (07).

He said that these committees will operate based on all grama niladhari divisions in the country in line with the 'Clean Sri Lanka' programme.

Deputy Minister Watagala said that village-level public security committees will be formed under the 'Clean Sri Lanka' programme and a government circular will be issued to oversee the tasks assigned to these committees.
