Sri Lanka, Dec. 18 -- The Praja Shakthi programme is currently being implemented at the grassroots level through the establishment of Community Development Councils in every village. A key responsibility for advancing this initiative has been entrusted to officials of Divisional Secretariats and District Secretariats.

In parallel with the implementation of the Praja Shakthi National Movement to Eradicate Poverty, another phase of the capacity-building and awareness programme for Government officers attached to District and Divisional Secretariats held at the Ranminithenna Tele Cinema Village recently.
